General Fishing News
Nothern Encounter was once again great! 2044 northern caught in 2 1/2 days! The team of pederson and Pederson won with 87.8# total for their 5 fish a day. A great average of almost 6# a fish. Largest was 12.8 # and the Pedersons had a 42.4# stringer of five fish on the first day of the tournament!

Walleyes
Scattered but nice size fish still being caught

Muskellunge
Opens this Sat. Had several including a 30# fish caught during the Northern Encounter.

Northern Pike
What can we say? Northern fishing is HOT!!

Crappies
Fishing is hot! They are in the shallows. This week-end should be the peak!

Pan fish
Bluegills are starting. Next week should be HOT!

Bass
There every where. Lotsm of nice smallmouth and largemouth being caught. The northern fishermen considered the 3-5# bass a pest. They were taking the northern baits all week-end
